Dr. Clayton Miller is an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the Building and Urban Data Science (BUDS) Lab. His group focuses on leveraging data sources from built and urban environments to improve energy efficiency, conservation, comfort, safety, and human satisfaction. He leads a team dedicated to understanding how data can transform built environment industries through open-access code, community-driven human-building interaction projects, and data science skills.

He was the Technical Co-Chair of the Association of Computing Machines (ACM) BuildSys 2023 conference and has been heavily involved in ACM conferences (BuildSys and e-Energy) since 2018. ACM is a preeminent computer science organization focused on AI. Additionally, he was the primary developer of the online edX course titled “Data Science for Construction, Architecture, and Engineering,” which has had over 35,000 participants since 2020.
